Grinder
We tried many manual coffee grinders before finding the one we'd brand with our name. They may look similar, but they don't all function the same.
This uses burr grinders, which are much better at grinding the coffee beans to a uniform particle size (compared to blade grinders). That's not about being visually picky, the uniform particle size actually makes a much better-tasting coffee. When the grinds are not uniform, you risk a sour or bitter-tasting coffee.
Our manual burr grinder is adjustable and you can tailor the grind setting, which measures how coarse or fine the grinds will be, based on the brew method you'll be using. (See our Brew Guide for more information on grind size.) It's also surprisingly satisfying to grind your beans manually.
If you like to bring your own coffee when you travel, this grinder is excellent for you. It's light and easy to pack.
This is great to have on hand, in addition to an everyday electric burr grinder, which we don't sell but comes in many styles and price ranges.
